What data we collect
Your searches and reading — not recorded. The site keeps no search history and runs no usage statistics today.
Technical logs — like every website, our hosting keeps a short technical record of requests (network address, time, page) to keep the site running and to stop misuse. Your network address is also counted for one minute so that the limits on searching and asking are fair to everyone.
Contact form — name and email, only if you contact us voluntarily
If we later add accounts or usage statistics, this page will say so before they are switched on.
What we do NOT collect

No selling or sharing data with third parties for marketing
Cookies
Minimal cookies for theme preferences stored locally. No tracking cookies.
Your browser also remembers a few choices on your own device, such as the colour theme, whether you have seen the tour, and the three writers you last compared. These stay in your browser and are not sent to us.

Some pages depend on services run by others. Nothing is hidden about this: here is what is sent, and to whom.
Ask a Question — Fanar (fanar.qa)
When you ask a question, the text of your question (and the earlier questions and answers of the same conversation) is sent from our server to Fanar, run by the Qatar Computing Research Institute, which writes the answer.
When you press “اردو ترجمہ”, the text of that answer is sent to Fanar to be translated.
Your name, email and IP address are not sent to Fanar. Please do not put personal details in a question.
We do not keep a record of your questions.
Quranic Studies — Quran.ai (Quran Foundation)
When you choose a commentary or translation, our server asks Quran.ai for it by ayah number and the name of the edition. Nothing about you is sent.
Each passage carries a link back to its source on Quran.com.
Fonts
Some typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts Google when a page opens.
